Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises

Nifty October futures trade at premium
The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 10020, a premium of 31.25 points over Nifty's spot closing of 9988.75 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 3.71 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 3.59 lakh crore registered on Friday, 6 October 2017.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 9.05 points or 0.09% at 9,988.75, its highest closing level since 21 September 2017.
Tata Steel, Reliance Capital, Vedanta, IDFC and Bajaj Finance were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Tata Steel October 2017 futures traded at 700.30, at a premium over spot closing of 696.55. Reliance Capital October 2017 futures traded at 573.95, at a premium over spot closing of 570.40.

The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
