City Union Bank clocked volume of 29.97 lakh shares by 14:04 IST on BSE, a 20.34-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.47 lakh shares. The stock fell 0.6% at Rs 99.85.
Essar Oil notched up volume of 18.18 lakh shares, a 9.52-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.91 lakh shares. The stock jumped 13.1% at Rs 133.
Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals saw volume of 7.13 lakh shares, a 7.36-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 97,000 shares. The stock surged 5.46% at Rs 69.55.
Novartis India clocked volume of 6.89 lakh shares, a 5.5-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.25 lakh shares. The stock slumped 3.65% at Rs 808 after clarification that the company's board has not received any notice from the promoters, Novartis AG, on its intention to delist its shares from the Bombay Stock Exchange. The company issued clarification after market hours yesterday, 11 June 2015.
AstraZeneca Pharma India saw volume of 72,000 shares, a 2.92-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 25,000 shares. The stock lost 3.49% at Rs 1,107.60.
