A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia on Wednesday, without authorities initially reporting casualties or issuing a tsunami warning.
The hypocentre of the quake was located 158 km under the seabed of the Banda Sea, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS), Efe news reported.
This USGS recorded the quake's epicentre at 278 km northeast of Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste, and 372 km northeast of Atambua, in the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara.
However, authorities have not issued any tsunami warnings.
