8 militants killed in Afghan military operation
Eight Taliban militants were killed and three injured during a military operation in Afghanistan's Takhar province, an army spokesman said on Sunday.
"Among those killed was a Taliban divisional commander," Xinhua news agency quoted the spokesman as saying.
The National Security and Defence Forces launched the ground operation supported by the Air Force against militants in Baharak district on Saturday.
