The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday released its third list of candidates, comprising 29 candidates, for the forthcoming Punjab assembly polls.

Prominent among the names announced on Friday included journalist-turned-politician Kanwar Sandhu (Kharar seat), former Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira (Bholath) and wrestler Kartar Singh (Tarn Taran).

The list was announced by AAP Punjab in-charge Sanjay Singh and AAP Punjab convener and comedian-turned-politician Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi here.

With this, the AAP has so far announced 61 candidates for the 117-member assembly.

The AAP had to face internal squabbles after it announced its first and second list of 19 and 13 candidates respectively.

The party is trying to revive itself after it sacked its Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur.
