Lt General D.S. Hooda on Friday felicitated an army-trained team of boys and girls from Jammu and Kashmir that scaled the Himalayan 'Friendship Peak' at 17,340 feet.

Defence Ministry sources told IANS that a Youth Mountaineering Expedition from Poonch district comprising seven girls and eight boys summited the peak in the Himalayan ranges on June 8.

Speaking on the occasion, the army commander congratulated the youths and said their success would inspire them to re-define their limits of endeavour.
