Atletico Madrid defeat Osasuna 3-0 in La Liga

Atletico Madrid managed to maintain their fourth position on La Liga football standings after a 3-0 away victory against Osasuna at El Sadar stadium in a 13th round match.

Diego Godin scored the first goal in 36 minutes from a corner executed by Koke Resurreccion here on Sunday. Frenchman Kevin Gameiro scored the second goal just 11 minutes later after a through ball from Angel Correa, reports Xinhua.

The Belgian Yannick Carrasco scored the third goal just before the final whistle, sealing the three points for the capital side.

Atletico's win comes after a humiliating 0-3 defeat in the Madrid derby against Real Madrid at their home ground, the Vicente Calderon stadium.

 

It was Osasuna's eighth defeat of the season and have only seven points.
