The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday registered three fresh FIRs in connection with its ongoing probe into the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.

A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against eight accused for impersonation in the 2004 Pre-Medical Test (PMT), an official release said.

The second FIR was registered against eleven accused on allegations of cheating by impersonation in PMT 2005.

The CBI registered the third case against seven accused on allegations of cheating by personation in Constable Recruitment Examination 2012 conducted by Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam), or the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).

The CBI has already registered 60 FIRs and launched 11 preliminary inquiries into the Vyapam scam.

The Supreme Court on July 9 handed over the Vyapam cases to the central investigating agency. Over 40 people linked with the scam have died under mysterious circumstances or committed suicide.
