Chinese plans to buy Atletico stake
Chinese real estate tycoon Wang Jianlin is planning to buy a 20 percent stake in Spanish football league champions Atletico Madrid.
Xinhua quoted Madrid sports daily AS as saying Monday that Wang planned to pay 40 million euros ($46 million) for the stake.
Various local media reported that Atletico chairman Enrique Cerezo will travel to Beijing this week to close the deal with Wang.
