Congress to contest polls in Kashmir alone

The Congress will fight the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir on its own, party leaders said here Sunday.

Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni and Saifuddin Soz, president of the state Congress unit, said the party will field candidates in all 87 assembly seats, ending an alliance with the ruling National Conference.
