CPI-M retains Tripura assembly seats

The ruling CPI-M on Tuesday retained two assembly seats in Tripura, defeated candidates from its nearest rival BJP by record margins, officials here said.

The CPI-M won the Pratapgarh seat for the ninth consecutive time, while it won the Surma assembly constituency for the eighth time in a row.
