Delhi gets rain, more expected Saturday

Light to moderate rain in Delhi Friday brought the maximum temperature down to 33 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The weatherman has forecast more rains Saturday.

"The capital received around 6.9 mm of rain Friday and there is more expected Saturday," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

The minimum temperature settled at 27.3 degrees Celsius - average for this time of the year. The humidity hovered between a high of 91 percent and low of 75 percent.

There was no reports of traffic jams following the rains.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Saturday are likely to hover around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
