DMK legislators ousted from Tamil Nadu assembly

DMK legislators were evicted from the Tamil Nadu assembly here on Friday for raising a din after the Privileges Committee condemned DMK president M. Karunanidhi.
Marshals were called to escort the DMK members out after they tore up copies of the committee's report and shouted slogans while massing near Speaker P. Dhanapal.
The Privileges Committee had recommended that Karunanidhi should be condemned for attributing comments to a minister who denied making them.
After the resolution accepting the committee's recommendation was passed, Speaker Dhanapal said Karunanidhi should not do such things again. This triggered the DMK fury.
