A documentary exploring the Apatani tribe of the Ziro valley in Arunachal Pradesh will have its premiere in January 2018, its makers said on Thursday.

"Ziro: The Lost Tribe", according to its Gujarat-based maker Mitra Patel, "unfolds the culture of Ziro, which is home to the Apatani tribe, one of the most organised, modernised and educated tribe, staying in one of the most remote parts of India".

A photo book on the documentary tries to show the modernized yet culturally rooted youngsters in one of the most beautiful valleys in the country, Patel said in a statement.

"This film is expected to be released in January and to be screened in festivals worldwide," he added. It is written by Kshitij Bader and Pratap Harode.
