Ebola-infected UN employee dies in Germany

A UN employee, infected with the Ebola virus disease in West Africa, who arrived in Germany last week for treatment has died, media reported Tuesday.

The 56-year-old UN employee died in the early hours of Tuesday in Hospital St. George in the German city of Leipzig, Xinhua reported citing Focus online.

The patient was brought to Germany for treatment Thursday after he had been infected with the virus in Liberia, according to reports.
