At least six people, including four Taliban militants, were killed in separate shooting incidents in Karachi Wednesday, officials said.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rao Anwar said police killed four militants during a search operation in the Northern Bypass area of Karachi, Xinhua reported.
Anwar said the militants belonged to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
In another firing incident in New Karachi, one person - said to be an extortionist - was killed during an exchange of fire with security personnel.
Another man was killed in Lyari area of the city.
