Former Haryana chief minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) chief Om Prakash Chautala, jailed in the teachers recruitment scam, Wednesday addressed party workers in Jind via video-conferencing from Gurgaon's Medanta Hospital.
Chautala, who is admitted in hospital for heart treatment after the court gave him permission, linked to the INLD leaders through video-conferencing from his hospital room, said his grandson Dushyant Chautala.
Former army chief General V.K. Singh, who went to meet Chautala, was also present when the video-conferencing took place.
At the INLD Jind office, four INLD legislators and scores of party workers were present to hear him.
Chautala, who was convicted and jailed January this year by a CBI special court in Delhi in the teachers recruitment scam, spoke to the INLD leaders after over four months.
Olympic medal-winner boxer Vijender Singh and several other people also met Chautala in hospital, an INLD statement said here.
