Himachal HC for comprehensive parking in Shimla

The High Court on Wednesday directed the Municipal Corporation and the state to formulate a comprehensive parking in city within two months.

The court also directed that vehicles would not be allowed to be parked in an unauthorized manner on the road from the to Dhingu Bawri.

A division bench of and Justice passed the order while disposing of a petition filed by and others.

The petitioners had alleged that despite repeated requests the authorities failed to take action against haphazard parking.

During the course of hearing, the bench observed that the authorities were required to evolve a comprehensive paid parking policy for the entire city. Besides, they said there shall be a provision of hourly penalty on the violators.
