Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) behemoth Hindustan Unilever on Friday said it posted a standalone net profit of Rs.971 crore for the quarter ended December 2015.
Net profit declined by 22.44 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis, a decline of Rs.281 crore.
According to the unaudited standalone results posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Hindustan Unilever's total income from operations grew to Rs.7,981 crore from Rs.7,774 crore in Q3 of 2014-15.
The company incurred a total expenditure of Rs.6,632 crore in the quarter under review against Rs.6,515 crore in the same period last year.
