It was a warm Sunday morning in the capital with the minimum temperature settling at 25.9 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year. The Met Office has forecast a hot, sunny day ahead.
"A hot day lies ahead for Delhi with the maximum temperature expected to be around 44 degrees Celsius," an India Meteorological Department official said.
The humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 68 percent.
The minimum temperature Saturday settled a notch below average at 24.8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was four notches above the season's average at 43.2 degrees Celsius.
