Infant sexually assaulted by neighbour in Delhi

A two-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a 23-year-old neighbour inside her house, police said Sunday. The accused has been arrested.

The incident was reported from Adarsh Nagar area in north Delhi when the child was alone at home Saturday evening.

A neighbour, who spotted Shiva, raised the alarm and he fled.

The girl was taken to hospital where the assault was confirmed.

Police said Shiva, a labourer, was arrested from his house Sunday morning.
