Jayalalithaa drops minister from cabinet

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Monday dropped Minister for Milk and Dairy Development S.P. Shanmuganathan from her cabinet.

According to a statement issued by Raj Bhavan, Governor K. Rosaiah has accepted Jayalalithaa's recommendation to drop Shanmuganathan and induct K. Pandiarajan into her cabinet as Minister for School Education, Sports and Youth Welfare.

Jayalalithaa also reallocated portfolio of two Ministers.

As per the Raj Bhavan statement, K.T. Rajenthra Bhalaji, Minister for Rural Industries will now be the Minister for Milk and Dairy Development and P. Benjamin, Minister for School Education, Sports and Youth Welfare will be the new Minister for the Rural Industries.
