JD-U, RJD, Congress approach EC over ad

The JD-U, RJD, Congress alliance on Wednesday filed a complaint with the Election Commission (EC) over an advertisement by the BJP in newspapers ahead of the last phase of polling in Bihar assembly elections.
The advertisement questions Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's silence over the comments on beef by other leaders of his alliance.
"Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants religious polarisation. This advertisement shows its frustration," Janata Dal-United leader K.C. Tyagi told reporters after lodging a complaint with the EC over the issue.
"The EC should take action immediately... There is lack of action from EC," he said.
The JD-U leader also said they will be disappointed and forced to question impartiality of EC if action is not taken.

"We hope there will be no such advertisement in newspapers tomorrow (Thursday), or there will be no impartial elections," Tyagi said.
The advertisement mentions comments by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, Raghuvansh Prasad, another JD-U leader, and Congress leader and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and questions Nitish Kumar's silence over the "insult" of cow, which is "worshipped" by "every Indian".
The advertisement then says "no answer - no vote", asking voters to chose BJP.
