Justice C.K. Prasad to be next Press Council chief

Former Supreme Court judge C.K. Prasad has been named the next chairman of the Press Council of India, an official statement said Wednesday.

"...The central government hereby notifies the nomination of Justice C.K. Prasad, retired judge of the Supreme Court of India, as the chairman of the Press Council of India," said a statement from the ministry of information and broadcasting.

Prasad succeeds Justice Markandey Katju.
