Modi pays tributes to Ambedkar in Mhow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tributes to B.R. Ambedkar on his 125th birth anniversary at his hometown in Mhow.

Modi, who arrived earlier in the day in Indore city, flew to Mhow by helicopter.

The prime minister went to the Ambedkar Memorial at Mhow, and offered floral tributes to the Dalit icon.

He also went to a room where a cradle has been kept and went around the photo exhibition.

Later, Modi is to kick-off the Gram Uday se Bharat Uday campaign to strengthen the panchayati raj system. The campaign, from April 14 to 24, is to be launched across the country.
