Rabat, Jan 9 (IANS/MAP) African ministers gathered in Morocco's capital on Tuesday to discuss the shared African agenda on migration.
The meeting aims to harmonise the vision for an African agenda on migration ahead of the African Union (AU) summit at the end of the month.
The ministerial conference would serve as an important platform and step in developing the promised draft African agenda on migration for submission to the AU summit.
Late in October, the Moroccan city of Skhirat hosted a three-day preparatory meeting with the aim to elaborate an African agenda on migration.
Since last March, Morocco's King Mohammed VI has been in charge of coordinating the migration issue within the African Union.
