MP by-poll: 33 percent vote till 1.00 p.m.

Voting proceeded peacefully in the Garoth assembly constituency by-poll in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district on Saturday, with one-third of the electorate exercising their franchise till 1.00 p.m., an official said.

The chief electoral office said eight candidates were in the fray. Of the 218,887 eligible voters, 1,12,685 are males, 1,06,201 are females, with one third gender.

The voting that started at around 8.00 a.m. will continue till 5.00 p.m.
