MTNL posts Rs.733 crore net loss in Q1

The state-owned telecommunications company Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) recorded a Rs.733.23 crore net loss for the first quarter (April-June) of 2014-15, a filing in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) by the company stated.
The company posted Rs.1,256.21 crore net loss during the corresponding period last fiscal (2013-14).
The total incomes from operations of the company stood at Rs.856.02 crore for the June quarter in 2014-15 compared ro Rs.883.16 crore reported during the corresponding period last fiscal.
The stocks of the company were trading at Rs.29.35 per scrips, up 2.62 percent at 3.53 p.m.
