No highway toll till November 14: Nitin Gadkari

To ensure smooth traffic flow on national highways, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday announced that the government has decided to extend the suspension of the fee collection at all the toll plazas till November 14.

"To ensure smooth traffic movement across all national highways, the toll suspension has been extended till 14th November midnight," Minister of Shipping, Road and Transport Gadkari tweeted.

 

On Wednesday, the government announced suspension of toll collection at all toll plazas on national highways till the midnight of November 11.

The ministry that time had elaborated that the decision to suspend toll collection had been taken to avoid any inconvenience to highway users post the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes from November 8 midnight.
