NTPC Q1 net up by 4 per cent

Power generation company NTPC's net profit for the first quarter of 2016-17 rose by 4 per cent, a regulatory finding said here on Monday.

The company posted net profit of Rs 2,369.53 crore for the April-June quarter of 2016-17 compared to Rs 2276.50 crore during the corresponding period in 2015-16, the company's filing with the BSE said.

The total income of the company stood at Rs 19,062.91 crore for the April-June quarter of 2016-17 against Rs 17,092.98 crore in the year ago period.
