Obama praises India's beauty

US President Barack Obama Tuesday praised India's beauty from the "backwaters of Kerala to the banks of Ganga".

"...America wants to be your partner and represent the health of your people and the beauty of this land from the backwaters of Kerala to the banks of Ganga," Obama said in a Town Hall style lecture here.

"Today, I want to speak directly to you, the people of India, about what I believe we can achieve together and how we can do it," he said.
