One arrested for desecration of Sufi shrine

Police in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district arrested a person on Thursday on charges of desecrating a Sufi shrine.

Police said the unidentified man was taken into custody for the sacrilege in Pahloo village of Pulwama district.

"Locals said some persons damaged the window panes and curtains of the shrine overnight. They caught hold of one of the miscreants who has been arrested," a police officer said.
