One dead after gas cylinder blast in car

One person died and another was critically injured on Sunday after a gas cylinder, used for pumping up balloons, exploded inside their car here, police said.

"There was an explosion of a gas cylinder, used for pumping up balloons, in the car. Bhupal Halder died and Sanjay Saha, 29, was injured and is in critical condition," a police officer said, adding that the incident happened at the Central Avenue.

Investigations are on, the officer said.
