President Mukherjee's wife 'very critical'

President Pranab Mukherjee's wife, who was admitted to the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) here, was in a "very critical" condition, hospital sources said on Saturday.

Suvra Mukherjee, who suffers from a respiratory problem, was ill for some time. She was admitted to the hospital on Friday evening.

"Her condition is very critical. This is all we can say at this point of time," a hospital source told IANS.

The president's wife is a heart patient and has been kept in the intensive care unit.
