Quake hits Philippines

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit Philippines Saturday evening, the US Geological Survey said.

The temblor's epicentre, with a depth of 4.04 km, was initially determined to be at 9.3725 degrees north latitude and 126.6145 degrees east longitude, Xinhua reported.
