Shooting inside Canadian parliament

Gunshots were fired inside the Canadian parliament in capital Ottawa Wednesday, a media report said.

At least one suspected shooter was at large in Ottawa, NBC News reported.

Police surrounded the parliament and escorted some lawmakers and reporters to safety.

A soldier in uniform, who was shot, was being treated at the scene for his injuries, the report said.
