At least six people were killed and at least 35 others injured when a roadways bus, coming from Bundi to Jaipur, overturned near Deoli in Rajasthan's Tonk district on Sunday, police said.
"Six people have been killed in the accident that occurred at around 3 p.m. Out of 35 injured, 9 have who are bit critical have been referred to Jaipur and rest have been admitted in Deoli and Tonk hospitals. Prima facie it looks a case of overspending. But we can only arrive at a definite conclusion after detailed investigation," Tonk's Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar told IANS over phone. Tonk is around 160 km from here.
The bus was overloaded as some passengers who were sitting on the roof top.
