At least six Lebanese soldiers were killed in an attack on an army patrol near the Syrian border, media reported.
A gun battle took place between soldiers and terrorists Tuesday, resulting in the killing of six soldiers. One soldier was injured, MENA news agency reported citing an army official.
"The army sent reinforcements to the area. Military units have taken appropriate measures on the ground," the official added.
