State-run minting company enters into MoU with IIT-Delhi

The Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India (SPMCIL) Tuesday entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi (IIT-D).

According to the finance ministry, the MoU between SPMCIL and IIT-Delhi's Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) has been envisioned to foster collaboration on research, training and professional development.

The MoU also envisages exchange of technical expertise in areas of mutual interest such as material sciences and testing capabilities through joint research; workshops and seminars; regional and international forums.

"This MoU asserts SPMCIL's commitment to pursue R&D programs and facilitate cooperative initiatives in the area of basic research to increase awareness and information sharing amongst key stakeholders," the ministry said in a statement.
