Teacher jailed for sexual abuse

A female Australian teacher was on Thursday jailed for seducing a 14-year-old special needs student and having an 18-month sexual relationship with him, the media reported.

The 27-year-old woman was sentenced to six-and-half years' jail in Queensland after pleading guilty to seven charges, including maintaining a sexual relationship with a child, Xinhua news agency reported.

The court said the teacher seduced the intellectually impaired student in 2011.
