Toddler sexually assaulted by school staff

A two-and-a-half-year-old girl child was sexually assaulted by an employee of a play school here, police said Thursday.

The accused, who works as a peon, was arrested Thursday from the school located in west Delhi's Rohini.

The parents informed the police after the toddler complained of pain in her abdomen.

Her parents rushed her to a hospital where doctors said that she had been sexually assaulted.

Police said the toddler recognised the accused, who confessed that he sexually assaulted her Tuesday inside the school premises.
