Two children drown in Pushkar

Two students who were on a school educational tour Sunday drowned in a lake in Rajasthan's Pushkar town, a popular tourist destination, police said.

The two -- Rajesh Kumar and Suresh Kataria, both 17-year-old -- were among 48 students of a private school in the state's Sikar district.

The duo were having a bath at the famous lake in Pushkar, some 150 km from Jaipur, when they drowned, a police officer said.

"By the time they were pulled out, they had died," he said.
