Two held for shooting officer's wife

Two people were Monday arrested for shooting and looting the wife of a customs officer here, police said.

Three motorbike-riding men entered a house in Sector 31 when Savitri, wife of Joint Commissioner of Customs B.R. Mahayach, was alone at home. As she confronted them, she was shot.

Manoj and Sandeep were arrested for the attack. Himanshu, a relative of the officer and the crime mastermind, is on the run.
