Typhoon makes landfall in Chinese province

A typhoon made landfall in south China's Guangdong province on Thursday.

Typhoon Linfa made landfall in Jiadong township, Xinhua reported.

Trains have been suspended, schools closed and thousands of fishing boats were recalled to port.
