Uttar Pradesh to set up 72 milk parlours

Seventy-two milk parlours along with chilling and dairy plants would be set up in 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh, an official said here on Saturday.

The parlours would come up in Mirzapur, Allahabad, Aligarh, Noida, Jhansi, Faizabad, Bareilly, Azamgarh, Farrukhabad, Shahjahanpur, Bulandshahr, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Basti and Bahraich.

This endeavour is to strengthen the milk marketing system, the official added.

Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan has also instructed officials concerned to prepare proposals for construction of 1,000 metric tonne capacity warehouses in mandi (market) premises.
