Vice Admiral Ghormade takes over as DG-Naval Operations

Vice Admiral S.N. Ghormade on Friday assumed charge as Director General - Naval Operations at the Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy), here.

A graduate from the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the United States Naval Staff College at Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island, Ghormade was commissioned into the Indian Navy on January 1, 1984.

His operational appointments include commands of INS Brahmaputra, INS Nireekshak and INS Allepey.

Vice Admiral Ghormade is also a recipient of the Nau Sena Medal.
