It is usual for biscuits and tea to be served to journalists during press conferences of political parties. In Parliament on Thursday, Communist Party of India (Marxist) chief Sitaram Yechury held a press conference where biscuits made by Patanjali, an FMCG company founded by yoga guru and BJP sympathiser Ramdev, were served. Never short of a repartee, Yechury said it was no wonder that questions from journalists had become “convoluted” — reflecting yogic contortions — after they had eaten the biscuits.
