At a hearing on the Sahara case, Chief Justice of India T S Thakur said the beleaguered business group was not paying up its dues. Senior counsel Kapil Sibal tried to reason: "You know how the market is, my lord." Thakur shot back, "The market is known to Mr Sibal, who earns crores and invests that in the market." Sibal retracted quickly: "You are setting the income tax (department) after me, your honour."
