Last week, journalists were invited to a workshop on the Lok Pal Bill by civil society members of the panel framing the law. The idea was to explain their stance on various Bill-related issues. During the session journalists were also asked for feedback on the procedure for appointing the Lok Pal. The answer left most members of the panel acutely embarrassed because the journalists present unanimously wanted to be considered for the post of Lok Pal.
