Simple wedding

Demonetisation has also impacted the wedding plans of children of politicians. There are at least two ministers in the Narendra Modi’s council of ministers whose children are to get married in the coming days. The controversy over the ostentatious display of wealth at the wedding of mining baron G Janardhana Reddy’s daughter earlier this month, and the subsequent income tax raids on him, is keeping these ministers on tenterhooks. The word from the ministers was that these weddings will be simple affairs.
